I currently own a Kimber TLE/RLII and love it. It is my first 1911. For my second I'd like a fullsize instead of the Commander size like my Kimber. I'd like it to have no markings at all on the slide and front and rear checkering on the grip. I'd also like to KG it OD or grey and have night sites. I have never built a 1911 and would like to do minimal labor to achieve this configuration. I want all good parts but not to go too buck.

What should I buy?

A prebuilt 1911....  1911's aren't easily built and everything needs to be fit.

Good to know. I have considered one of the Springfield WWII spec 1911's and having a local guy do the checkering and swap the grips.
