My TLE R/L really likes the Wlison Combat mags. I have the 8 rounders and have never had a problem with them.

Edit:  The model I have is 47D

Wilson Combat 8 round mags

Also good are Tripp's mags www.cobramag.com

I find Les Baer's mags to be very good - fit and finish is better than Wilson.

All three of the above are available from Brownells

I have 14 Wilson 47Ds that I use for range mags and load the day before I go shooting. I have not changed the springs or followers (they come together as a "rebuild kit") in quite awhile. I would estimate that each mag has been loaded and unloaded (shot) at least 100 times. They still work just fine. The trick with the 8 round 47Ds is to not leave them fully loaded for extended priods of time. Remember also, that Wilson mags have a lifetime warranty which covers the mag body (ie bent, broken, cracked feed lips, etc). They are the only mags I use for concealed carry or range work. Anytime you can pick them up for around $21 each, do so.

Wilson Combat!

I’ve got a couple Colts and a Springfield and they all love the Wilson Combat 8-round mags.

I know that there’s other good mags out there, I’ve shot with a few of em, my Colt mags work well too, but I just keep saving a couple bucks here and there and pick up another Wilson Combat 8-rounder or two at the shows I go to. they’re top-notch magazines, you most certainly won’t be sorry.

+ whatever on the 47D's. I tried the McCormicks but didn't have any luck with them.
No problems with the Wilsons. Well worth the money.

I had really good luck with Mec-gar mags. Recently I picked up some 47Ds and I am going to try those out.

I have more than thirty Chip McCormick magazines. I have blue and stainless, officer's, full size and ten rounders, none have ever failed. The price is right. CDNN is a good place to start. Although the $10 shipping is bullshit.

I think I bought my first Wilson mags 10+ years ago.    Dropped em on concrete and in sand while running constantly.   Have em in .38 super & .45          I trust them completely

also have Chip McCormick for officers .45                  They have never failed me either

If I notice they are getting sluggish w/ loading  (really do drop em in sand)

disassemble and spray w/ break free, etc.    then push wads of paper towel through w/ rod

order OEM followers and wolf springs after years of use   and all are still like new
