Still learning and reading about 1911's.  Just wanted to ask the pro's before I buy.  Also, I understand this is pretty much a drop in part? Just remove my current mainspring and the Wilson product replaces the entire assembly?  

Get me strait if I’m not tracking?

Yeah, it should fit fine.  You will probably have a gap where the extension meets the magwell.  They only fit flush when they have been fitted.  Also, you will need to switch out the pins, cap and spring contained in your mainspring housing and put them in the new one.
