I was just about to go to sleep when I noticed my last post was 1910.  I figured I better make my 1911th post about 1911s.  So, no point here, just throwin' up a pic of some of my 1911s.

Thanks for the nice words everyone.  As far as my go to, I have two.  The pic above is about half my 1911s, and one of those go to guns is not shown.  One is the stainless 1991 w/ivory grips, and the other is a Para P-14 done by Les Baer.

Very impressive collection.  I assume:

a) you're not married.
b) your married and your wife is a 1911 gal (I love her already) or
c) your pistol hiding-fu is great.

Congratulations.

R.

If you could only keep one, which would it be.

Nice 'uns BTW. I like the stainless Colt.

Looks like your not brand prejudice either.

My wife is understanding.

If I could keep only one, it would the SA Operator on the right, second from top with a light, as it's the one I have an emotional attachment to for some reason.  However, one of the SA GI models and the Colt Delta on the bottom are future projects that will probably be my favorites.

The guns that are stock are the Para (which I no longer have), which is between the two guns with the lights, the two SA GI models. which are next to each other below the SS Colt w/ivories and the Para, and the Delta at the bottom middle, w/the Delta medallions.

This is about half of my 1911s.  As much as I love my 1911s, it pales in comparison to the collections of some here.  Look at AJohnston's collection, and you'll see some true works of art, as well as a large sum of money.  Now that's a guy who must keep his queen happy.
