While at a local gun show a week ago, I ran into a vendor claiming to be a 45 expert. I was looking for a Wison Combat group gripper to try and better my Colt 1991A1, my first clue should have been when this "expert" had never heard of a group gripper. After I explained to him how the part worked he said all I need is a #5 barrel link, it will do the same thing," all the competion shooters use it ". So I bought it and went to a shoot the next day, JAM-O-MATIC.

So the moral of the story, If it aint broke don't fix it. He only got 5 bucks out of me, but I'll stay clear if I see him again.

Sorry to hear you got the shaft.  Typically, there are 5 different link sizes.  The sizes pertain to the length of them.  Every firearm is different, as well as the barrels in them.  They need to be measured and the proper one selected.

Keep looking for your group gripper.
