hope this doesn't break an CoC or good 'ol boy rules but Im really intersted in this gun. I've read up alot on 1911s but I honestly do not know as much as I would like about the Colt 80s..

Not talking price but what do you guys think of that build?

I dont want to label anything done by vediki/rogers as the cat's ass but christ, looks and 'sounds great..

Series 80s are a bit of a pain to reassemble the hammer group, other then that I have NEVER EVER had a single issue with it, period. In fact you will be hard pressed to find anyone complaining truthfully about it cept for those saying the trigger feel is not as good. It's been out there for 25 years now and is a non issue for me. Nuff said.

I have 5 Colts, 4 are series 80.  The only time I know they are there is when I strip the pistol down to a bare frame, which is maybe a couple of time a year.

Was the gunsmith named? I must have missed it.
