how often do you clean them

I got a bunch of Wilsons from my brother in law

I took one apart today and its a bit dirty in there

and do you remove the follower? ..........if so How

Type 47, the bottoms are removable.  Press up threw the base hole to push up the locking plate, then slide the bases off.

Standard welded type, press down on the follow just past half way, and shove a punch threw the mag/witness holes across the spring winds.  With the spring held down, you can now tilt and pull the follower up out of the body.

As for cleaning my 1911 mags, I free drop mags, so they are run dry and cleaned after each run. This is the bit positive on the 47 since to can pull the bases and just run a mag brush threw them to got out the crap.

Service mags, every time the pistol is cleaned.

I had the mag apart just couldnt get the follower out
