I just recieved a Wilson two piece guide rod and bushing to replace the dual spring guide rod it came with. It states i need to mill .070 off the slide apron on notched side. Would it be okay to use the Stock Bushing that came on the pistol, i put it together using the stock bushing and it fits fine.

I owned a Champion a few years ago, but it did not have a barrel bushing. The barrel was conical near the muzzle and fit directly to the slide.

Sorry, I guess you are talking about the reverse plug for the guide rod. I had the Wilson guide rod as well but it was installed by a local gunsmith.

yeah, the reverse plug is what i meant. i tried it with the stock bushing, but after racking the slide a few times, it feels like there is a lot of play in the slide and frame, i think i'll just take it to the local smith and have him make the cut.

That way you won't have to worry about it, and it shouldn't cost much.
