I just finished doing a couple of customizations on my Springfield mil-spec.  I did filed and fitted a beavertail, fitted a thumb safety, put in a new trigger, hammer, sear, dissconector and MSH.  Now this was my first time at this, and it all came out really well.  Everything works well and even shot about 200 rounds through it with no malfunctions or jams.  So far so good and it sure does look SWEET!   Just wanted to say how much pride and confidence one can acquire by doing some things themself.  It feels really good.  But there still are jobs that I wouldn't tackle myself.  Those Kuhnhausen manuals came in handy too.
