I was messing with an STI 9mm the other day. It was a compact one. A single stack 9mm. The grip not big enough for my pinkie to fit. Anyways with the mag in the slide would not automatically lock back. The guy at the store said it wasn't supposed to
 . That doesn't make sense to me. Was he full of shit. I liked the gun. it would be a great CCW piece but not if the slide doesn't lock back.

The slide should lock back. It does with my Colt and Mecgar 9mm 1911 mags. However, maybe on STI's compact 9mm models... You might want to check STI's website for more info: www.stiguns.com/ |

I'm not familiar with the compact one but STI mags(double stack) are usually hit or miss. I use SPS mags for my STIs.
