I've been thinking about purchasing a 9MM 1911 and Colt's new offering has me interested.  Right price point, known quality manufacturer and 9MM happens to be readily available for me.  My concern is how does this gun feed JHP ammo?  Specifically Speed LE Gold Dot +P 124 grain?  Any info would be greatly appreciated.

My wife has a Colt XSE Commander in 9mm made last year. It still has a low round count, but it has fed hollow points reliably so far. I can't imagine a Government model being any different in that regard.
