Occasionally the disconnector notch on the underside of the Kimber 22 slide will not line up with the disconnector on the RIA frame. If this happens the hammer may fall but the pistol usually fails to fire. Normally you can enlarge the disconnector recess on the bottom of the slide to cure the problem. I have seen this happen once with an AA standard kit and RIA frame. This can also be an issue with Taurus PT1911 frame and Kimber 22 slide.
