I was able to locate a Springfield for sale locally by a individual, Its just a basic full size 1911 with a parkerized finish, extra sett of grips it looks like, guy wants $450 for it, sounds like a good deal to me, was wondering what you guys thought?? I have a E-Mail in to him about round count but have not heard back. any help would be appreciated.

If it is the standard gi style not a bad price but keep in mind rock island gi's are similar in quality to the made in brazil gi's for a little less brand new. The base sa's are a great place to start for a custom build though

Pics would tell us what it is, but for that price, if it's in good shape I'd buy it. Even a GI.

I would pay that for any Springfield in just about any condition. They have a lifetime guarantee if anything is wrong with it.
