I am left handed and looking to buy an STI Spartan.

Is it a drop in or does it need to be fitted?

Some times they drop in,  sometimes they don't. Search for some diys it isn't that hard if you take your time and check your work.

I believe that most of them need to be fitted. It's fairly simple, you need a file, maybe a dremel (I did, just be careful) maybe 10 minutes? Really you just need to match the shape of the original safety. The lug? I'm not sure what that engagement piece is called.
