Was watching a youtube video of new market products that was linked to a gunzine article.

This particular video was from Sig and talked about their new line of 1911 pistols with more traditional slide profiles. However, during the video they show a left hand 1911 pistol, but say nothing about it.

Anyone out there know tow skinny on this one?

Hope the link gets ya started in the right direction.

I would bet the image was just reversed, but I could be wrong. I haven't heard anything about them coming out with one.

Bingo. No idea how they did that. Look at the poster on the wall behind the gun display at the beginning. Look at which side the writting is on. When they start showing the "left hand" 1911, the same poster is there but it is a mirror image. You may have to watch sevearl times to see it.

I'm a southpaw, and have no problems with a standard 1911. The ambi safety is nice, but beyond that, no mods needed.

Randall used to make a lefty 1911.

If SIG came out with that my prayers would be answered.

MADE is more like it. Randall went out of business 20+ years ago.

Not really digging the external extractor on it but being a lefty it would be nice to acquire one just for the hell of it

Agreed. with the exception of the thumb safety, the 1911 is the most lefty-friendly pistol I own.

Trigger finger for the slide stop.
Middle finger for the mag release.

I agree, I have been using the pistol so long as is I don't know if I could adapt to a left only gun. But the idea of a dedicated right side safey is nice.
