I bought my first Makarov this evening.  It is a Bulgarian pistol with smooth black grips having a thumb rest.  The pistol was imported by C. A. I. of Georgia, Vermont.  The gun bears the circle 10 symbol and has a serial number beginning with AE. There does not appear to be any holster wear on the bluing and I could find little if any wear on the insides after field stripping.  I paid $195 and the sales guy said it was a "new" pistol.   Any info. you can provide would be greatly appreciated,

Your gun is "new" in terms of being used. It is probably 20 years old though.
