Okay...
My red hot, co-worker lover (this is for her embarrassment ) whose husband owns a pre-1917 Lugar  with a 4.75" barrel and the markings "Gesichert" & "Made in Germany", would like to buy new magazine to see if that will solve her jamming problem.

What I would like to know is what kind of magazine does this take?  Are all older Lugar mags the same?  Who sells new magazines for old Lugars?

Thanks,

I use Meg-gar Luger mags. Works well in my BYF 42.

To my knowledge all Luger mags are interchangable.  There are different bottoms however, some made with wood and others alunimum.  Used to own a all matching S/42 coded early 1939 manufactured P08 which ATF wouldn't grant me a import license from Germany years ago.  Just saw recently here in Iraq a captured 1915-DMW produced P08.  Mag needs a new wooden bottom end though.

Gesichert in German means Secured (ie: on safe)

Only buy the good ones. I bought a cheap one and it barely fit in the gun. I have always had good luck with Mec-Gar magazines.
