I am thinking of getting a Para Ordinance and I was wondering if regular 1911 parts from Springfield or Colt would work with it? Because I like the capacity they have four a 45ACP but I don't like the frills and the curved up beaver tail safety and all that. I would like to have one that looks like a 1911A1 without all that and those special sights and all that. I would like to get one and put a 1911A1 slide on it and put a regular safety on it and a regular A1 style hammer.his

If you want a Basic 1911 platform then buy the springfield WWII high cap

North of the frame, a PO is the same as series 80 Colt partswise.
