Picked up a new Para P14-45 this weekend.Very sweet pistola.
Anyway, while cleaning the pistol to remove the shipping grease I noticed something. The barrel is machined rather rough. The lands are mirror bright but the grooves are cobby looking with machining streaks. No shine in the grooves at all. After firing the barrel fouls badly.Reminds me of some of my pitted surplus guns.
Have yall noticed this before?
Also do yall think some J&B compound would smooth this the barrel up some?

Does not sound right to me. Mine was perfect. I know how exciting it is to get a new pistol. But if your not happy with it take it back.

Hey!

My bore was xcellent....You have a lifetime warranty. Call them, get a "return authorization" send it back and have them replace barrel. For the price you payed it better be perfect!!!
