I'm getting my older brother into shooting and he wants a handgun. Between me and my twin we have about every major make so we took him out shooting to try them out. His favorite was the Beretta 92F I have. He wants one in stainless, but there is a 92F Brigadier for sale, and as far as I can tell the only difference is the heavier slide. The part of the Beretta USA website with handguns has been down so no info there. Anybody know anything? Thanks.

The Brigadier does have a beefed up slide and weighs in at almost an ounce heavier. The removable front sight can be a blessing if damaged. The regular 92FS front sight is part of the slide. I think either would be a fine weapon, me being partial to stainless. If he would be happy with the Brigadier and the price is right, that would tip the scale that way. If any FACTORY 15 round magazines are involved, that too could be a factor. Any help?

Thanks, that was just what I was looking for.
