YngSar1...please talk to me about the Kahr...I currently have a ruger 9mm and a 22/45. They are both really difficult to carry...I shot a Kahr two years ago and it seemed OK...I should have bought it.....

Hound: Get a Kahr!!!

I have a P9, and haven't carried anything else since I got it. Actually, I have no desire to carry anything else.... It is an awesome gun!!!

I love my Kahr K9, it is a pretty early gun (4 digit SN). I got it just after they came out in 95 (I was only 16, and my dad bought it for me). I have nothing bad to say about this pistol, I have probally put 1500 rounds through this gun with only 1 or 2 malfunctions. The only problem I ever had was that the early slide backs were made of aluminum, which eventually cracked this past summer. I sent it off and they replaced it with the updated steel one at no charge, I also had them install some night sights while they were at it. (Note, the slide backs on Kahr pistols have been steel for some years now.) My favorite 9mm load for the kahr is the Corbon 115gr +p JHP. It is a darn accurate little gun and trades carry duty on and off with my Walther P99

Bought it new, have had it for about ayear now (like the Keltec p32 better, go figure), I didn't have to wait, dealer had it in the case, I plunked down the money.

Had a buddy though who waited close to a year back in 98 or so.

Let's see...
(50)Smith & Wesson revolvers
(1) Smith & Wesson auto
(6) Ruger Vaqueros
(8) Ruger Blackhawks/Super Blackhawks
A couple Colt SAA's
Assorted Colt SAA clones (12-15)
20 or so cap and ball revolvers
Four Virginia Dragoons
Four or five cheap German .22 single actions
NAA mini revolver
Two Colt Butler derringers
Walther .25 auto (Nazi proofs)
A pair of percussion dueling pistols
Taurus PT-92
Talon 9mm
Various Colt Scout Commemoratives (+/-10)
A Schofield
American Derringer Corporation .44 mag

There are others I am not thinking of off the top of my head including a few pistols. (I'm more of a revolver sort of person.) Over half of this stuff is tossed in the vault and only gets looked at ocassionally to be sure they are not rusting.

As I was typing that I remembered a shit load of those old break tops manufactured by Iver Johnson, Hopkins & Allen and others that are in boxes that I haven't checked for rust in over a year.
Gee thanks guys. Now I feel obligated to go dig in the vault on rust patrol this weekend.

LOL
Lortrader, you Glocksters crack me up. It must cost you a fortune in dishwasher detergent cleaning them.
I have heard they have fixed the problems with Glocks. Since they started stamping them, 'Dishwasher safe on top shelf ONLY' they are having less problems.

I'm most accurate with the rifles, still learning the DE shooting .50AE , .44 in it is like shooting 10mm due to the weight of the pistol. That 50 still bucks like trying to give a democrat a patriot pill.

Funny, but I knew a local guy here who *did* use his dishwasher to clean his glocks, he also had kids.  I asked him where he thought all that lead was going...

I don't think he does that anymore.

Iuse a parts washer inmy workshop, just toos the piece-de-jour into the washer and come back in an hour, a quick spritz with compressed air and it is good to go.

I am going with LT on this one. I have cut my collection down to Glocks only. Well not counting my Pheonix HP22. If I were to put the synthetics onto my AK's I would be swimming in black guns.

My pistol count is a little low:

Ruger SP101 .357 mag
Para-Ordnance P1445 (another magaholic thing going on there!)
Glock 30
S&W 629 (gift from dad or I would have banished it long ago.)

Planning to buy a P1445 LTD and a Desert Eagle in .50 AE sometime this winter. Might get one of the BFR's from Ruger, maybe either .454 Casull or .480 Ruger....that is if I can ever quit blowing my money on AR's, mags, and womenz.
