There you go.  I used the small grip and didn't like it much.  The medium is a better fit.

M&P9?

Whatever came installed.  Medium, I guess.

I've tried it without ANY backstrap and it was great.

I use the small.

I use the medium on both of mine but which palm swell you should use depends on the size of your own hands and which points best for you.

I wear a Large size glove, but I use the medium backstrap.

I tried all 3 and I like the medium the best.

I have a full-size MP357. In my hand, the medium grip feels best, but I shoot the pistol equally well with any of the grips, so I carry it with the small grip installed. The small grip gives the pistol the slimmest profile and makes it most comfortable to carry in an IWB holster.

My M&P is still fairly new to me and I haven't really decided between the small and medium backstraps.

At this point, I'm leaning in the direction of the small size.

I have larger hands and use the small.  I like the slimness and its closer to the 1911 size for me.

I have fairly large banana hands and I use the mediums. They feel like they were made for me.
PS: I love my M&P.!

The only difference I can tell from the small to medium is that the medium has palm swells.  Everything else remains the same.

Love my MP40 and I use it with the large backstrap.

As I said above, I love my MP40 full size, but I'm looking for a carry gun.  Anyone here try the MP40 compact?  Comments?

I used the medium on my M&P9 but use the small on my .40c.

I have smaller hands and was looking for a fell close to my HiPower. I took off the back strap and used a ranger band to form finger grooves and new back strap. It gives it a nonslip feel and is custom fit to my hand. I got the idea from using the innertube on my AR.

Friend is armorer for local department, adopted M & P about a year ago.  At least 80% of officers use the medium grip.

I like the feel of the small backstrap the best, but I switched it out to the medium one for my dad to shoot it and noticed that I was getting significantly tighter groups with that one, so the med. is what I've stuck with.

I could never figure out how to remove the backstrap grips.   I stick with the medium sized as they fit me like a glove.  I don't plan on trying the other straps out either.

Small for the thinnest grip. Feels the best to me, my dad however runs with the medium size
