Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - ? on Browning BDM Pistol

My brother-in-law has one he bought new several years ago. He is considering selling it.
What do you guys know about its reputation. Browning no longer makes it.  It seems nice and has less than 500 rounds thru it and 2 hicap mags.  He says it will switch back and forth between traditional DA/SA and DA only. Sounds like a decent carry/IDPA gun.

I have never shot a BDM, but everyone that I asked said they were a very nice pistol; if you have the Hi-cap mags.  I looked at one seriously a few months back.  It's only problem was the availability of hi caps and the outrageous price they would go for IF you could find them.  I liked the way it felt in my hand, but the Beretta 92fs felt better.
