I just finished a display stand for a customer, made from goncalo alves, and exotic harwood from Central America.  I thought the grain pattern finished up nicely.  Here's a couple of pics...

W-W, glad you like it.  I was a little concerned about sizing the spindle with only a mag and no gun to test fit it with, but it sounds like it works fine.  Hope you enjoy it.
