I  Don't remember where I seen this at, but I ordered one yesterday should be here by the end of the week. Supposed to save your thumb, looks like a good idea

Here is a pic of it

Be a real man. I don't use no stinken tool to take my 1911 apart.

Just kidding, we got one of those in at the shop the other day to use as a demo. In 2-3 weeks since we had it in we have orders for 20-25 of them.

Looks good especially when you get a tight bushing.

Here is another plug for one of their other products.
I bought a pint size jar of the Gas Piston Parts & Chole Tube Cleaner. I shoot SS revolvers and when cleaning the gun, I take the cylinder off the gun and put it in the jar at the start. Once I've cleaned the rest of the firearm, I take the cylinder out and wipe it off with a rag. WHA_LA no more scrubing. The powder residue and lead come right off.

Speaking as someone who has been hit in the forhead by the spring plug of a 1911 more than once (and I even took a mainspring cup in the head last night...) I think that they need a thumb buddy for the conventional design, or a bigger bushing wrench that isn't so easy to let that plug fly...

Some of us hate the full length rods and will forever curse them and those who use them.

Looks to me that with a good lubricant, "Thumb Buddy" could serve double duty as a "Butt Buddy".
