I have a model RG 25 (don't ask it was a backup gun in the early 80's) how do I take this thing apart?  I need either a manual or some help from someone here who knows alittle about this thing.

Looks like you flip the level on the left down and move the slide backward and upwards at the same time, kind of like a Bersa.  Can't swear to this, just a guess from looking at the gun and the parts diagram.  Good luck.

I have one of those too; inherited it from my mom and I've never figured out how to break it down.

you have to push in the locking piece at the rear end of the slide. In the hole that contains the firing pin. To avoid scratches you can use a toothpick.
Well push it in, keep it that way and lift up the rear end of the slide and than move the slide forward (Walther-, Makarov- etc. style).
If you remove the toothpick (after lifting up the slide) - do it slowly. Otherwise that little locking piece will fly around powered by the firing pin spring.

Assemble in reverse order.
