I have come across a Colt 1991 Tactical Level 1
and cannot find any info on this model, it has matte blue finish, ambi thumb safty, upswept grip saftey, black panel grips, standard sights, asking price $700

Anyone know what this is?

Hell, looks like you listed everything on the gun, what more did you want to know?

Seems a bit overpriced, IMO. Looks like Colt stuck a "tactical" label on it so they can add another $100 or more to the price.

Hell, for $700 you could buy a H&K.

Thanks for the reply Bob, I have nothing listed in my books on this model. I wanted to know if it was a catalog item at one time or from the custom shop and only made in very limited quantities?

I have a soft spot for Colts.

You could check the new "Blue Book". On page 483 they list a "Custom Tactical Gov't Level 1",
100% = $640. However the years of Mfg. are 98-01. Good luck!
