Getting the SO a XD SC 9mm and want to find a light for it.  Looking for options on a short pistol like the SC?

yes and no...it will NOT affect the function of the light

while i dont have the exact same setup (ie: subcompact XD and the X2), i do have the G19 and TLR-1/M3 light, which has the same thing where the light bezeel extends past the muzzle

through the course of fire, powder (in so many words, "soot") will built up and cloud the end of the light, so you got to clean it off after shooting w/ the light on--keep it clean and it will be fine

X2 is a great little light with a laser dot with it.

I have one, I used on my XD SC for a couple of years. You'll like it a lot
