Model 102 and 103 series-
Manufactured in Hartford CT Words "Model 102" or "Model 103" and the serial number were inscribedon the right side of the slide, and the serial number was duplicated on right side of the new and longer frame. A new and larger push button takedown enabling easier use was another improvement. A grooved and wider trigger in additionto a new rear sight were also added on the target models. The 102 series was manufactured from 1957-1960 and the serial number was approx 770,XXX-1,100,XXX. The 103 series was mfg. between 1960-1963 and the approximate serial number range was 1,100,XXX-1,330,XXX. Plastic grips were standard and checkered walnut grips with thumbrest were optional. Original casesd 102/103 series Trophy, Olympic Trophy, Olympic Citation and Special Presentation combinations in 98%+ condition are currently bringing premiums with asking prices in the $ 1,700-$ 2,000 range

Model 106 series
This series was mfg 1965-68. This new military model features a walnut checkered grip and a frame that has the exact heft and feel of the famous Military 45. This military model features a new slide and new adj rear bridge or saddle type sight, permanentlyl fixed to the frame. Front and rear grip straps are stippled and a new design magazine has an extension foot. Removable stabilizer and wts available on all models. Beginning Serial no for 106 series was approx 1,436,000 to 2,030,000

The military 107 series was mfg 1968-1972. However 107 unmarked variations were mfg 1973-1975 ML prefix variations were manufactured 1975-mid 1981 and also covered within this grouping. The 107 series is basically identical to the Military Model 106 series. Serial Number range is approx. 2,030,000-2,300,000

Numbered Series
In 1973 High Standard stopped marking the series numbers (either 104 or 107) on the guns. These guns just carry the normal seven digit serial number and are sometimes referred to as "NUMBERED SERIES" "UNNUMBERED SERIES" or "SEVEN-NUMBER SERIES." These pistols include the following-the Sport King, Sharpshooter, Supermatic Citation, Supermatic Trophy, The Victor and the ISU Olympic (in both military and slant grip model). The serial number range is 2,330,000 to 2,500,000
