I thought we might need a handgun of the day thread here.  In CockedandLocked's honor, of course!  So, here's mine for today..
T/C contender with .218bee octogon barrel, 2X scope(going to upgrade to 4X).  Shoots a 45gr bullet at just under 2500fps.  Holds 1 1/2" groups at 100yds, probably better if the shooter was better.  Just right for rock chucks and coyotes, when I'm riding my 4-wheeler.

Truly a rifle-like pistol. Got mine when they were $150. Always remember to remove the internal choke from the .44 mag bbl. when firing bullets from shot caps...oops!

Shoots like a dream, smoothist double action only trigger pull youll ever see. This gun was way ahead of its time, accurate, easy to control points like an arrow, Its what a close up defense handgun is all about. and accepts all colt mags. the standard is 5 + 1 I believe, but the regular 7 round Colt mags snap in and give you about a 1  inch over hang

I saw an ad for a Thomas once without a pic.
That is nice!

S&W Model 27 .357 magnum 3.5 inch barrel.

125gr golden saber bullets in front of a healthy charge of Bluedot.  This gets their attention at the indoor range.

The one on top is a wall hanger that makes for wide eyes and lots of conversation. Newbies usually guess it's a 44 magnum, or, if they saw the movie "Johnny Dangerous" an 88 magnum!  But it's just an old model single-six that I couldn't get to shoot well, so now it sports an 18" tube and shoots quite a bit better. I'm having trouble finding a holster for it though...
The lower one is a gun that has been shot, carried and abused by me, more than any other of my other guns, combined! She aint all original, but the grouse and rabbits have been over to my place for supper on a regular basis thanks to this one.

AR_Rifle, you're done with this thread. Now go sit down.

OdT, that 18" barrelled six-shooter doesn't need a holster, it needs a scabbard!

Here's my handgun of the day, Springfield Armory 1911-A1 Mil Spec, made in USA (not Brazil), Wilson Combat beavertail grip safety and checkered frontstrap, Chip McCormick commander hammer and sear, Trijicon night sights, 18 lb. Wolff spring, Shooting Star mags, laminated stocks, and reliability package by top-notch pistolsmith Dave Lawver of Dave's Metalworks.

Here's my single six.  "200th Year" Super Single Six model with the factory fake Ivory grips.  I sure wish I could shoot this as well as my Dad's and my Father-in-laws, both are the 7 1/2" single sixs with fixed sights.
