I was thinking about picking one up "just to have". Anyone have any experience with them? I haven't seen a lot on the web about them.

You have to look at the Mak boards...and Makarov.com for Eastern European gun info.

I have to agree, they do have a "bite" to them.  The only problem I have ever had is I can't use hollow points.  The mags are too narrow and they get hung up inside the mag.  From what I have found out this is common among the PA-63's.  Use only FMJ.  Good gun for the $.

I've put at least 600 rounds thru mine and it handles hp just fine. I put houge rubber wrap grips on it and now it fits my hand great. Best hundred dollar handgun you can get.

I like mine. I agree with the bite and mine has trouble with hollowpoints but I am soon to be reloading for it and can easily take care of that.
I also am planning to use it as my summer time concealed carry gun if that helps explain how I feel about it.
