A friend of mind needs the hook up on some computer parts and has a 642 I would get for about $250 should I get? I dont really have a practical use but I think I need it

I've been a CCH instructor in TN and have a CCL now. I've carried many guns in many places, but the J-frame Smith 642 is the one that has always been my "go anywhere" personal defense firearm. It's not the easiest to shoot and isn't a lot of fun to shoot +P loads, but, it always goes bang when it's supposed to go bang , is light and easily carried.

Bottom line: Get it. You'll want one sooner or later anyhow.

That's a great price. Buy it. If you don't want to keep it I'm sure someone here would buy it (me, I need a 2nd for the other pocket).

Probably the best ccw pistol going, when someone says they carry it all the time you can actually believe them. they fit almost anywhere you would want to carry a gun.
