I have read in a couple of gun mags that replacing the hammer spring in the Beretta 92F with that of a 1911 will result in a lighter DA pull. Has anyone tried this? Will it also work in the Taurus PT92?

I've read the same... I think in rec.guns many moons ago.  Just remember that the lighter pull may mean less reliable ignition.  I'd rather go with some of the not-so-drastically lighter springs from Wolff.

A better solution is use the spring from the 92FS DAO instead of another gun type. The DAO is a bit lighter in poundage pull.
