Just wondering if they are ok to judge a pistols reliability using Blazers.

Are they?

My personal experience says no. I bought 1000 rds of blazer, and it's the only ammo to cause my beretta and my ruger to hiccup

Brass ammo never did.

Shoot it for plinking, but test what your gonna shoot for the reliability.

For playing at the range with a revolver, they're ok. The aluminum cases don't seem to be no where near as slick as the brass ones. Plus the aluminum swells like a mofo in my revolvers, I can only imagine what they do in a semi with an unsupported chamber.

I shot some 9mm through my Beretta 92 with no problems, but the 38 special was the nastiest, dirtiest ammo I have ever seen. I watched my buddy shoot some through my .357 and you could see a cloud of dust and grit hanging in the air around the revolver after every shot. It was a tough cleaning session.

I've shot it for years in .45ACP, 9mm and 10MM without any problems in the autos. I've also shot the .38 Special, .357 and .44 Special and .44 Magnum without any problems. In fact, the .44 Special and .45ACP are some of the most accurate factory stuff I've found, at least in my guns (Glock 21, 1911s & S&W 24).

The CCI Blazer .45 ACP is all I have shot in both Kimbers (Classic Royal and Ultra Carry II). I have not had a problem with the cases and since I don't reload, shooting the brass at the range is senseless. Maybe some swear by them and some swear at them, my own experience is that I have not had any misfires, jams, or other related problems, so I will continue to spend the $9.95 per 50, rather than the $14-$16 for brass, thank you.

I use S&B ammo for plinking. It's a good cheap FMJ and it goes down range really well. Matter of fact in winter I carry it as defensive ammo to help penetrate through all the cloths..
