In Arizona it can get a little hot....I already have a Glock 19. Which model would you choose as an ultra concealment model for those light T-Shirt days?

P.S. I did not put the Glock 30 as an option as it is too large for my hands and too thick for my liking.

For me, a G19 conceals just as easily as a G26.

Isn't it right that in AZ you don't HAVE to conceal?  Just curious.  I say go for the .40 . . .I don't know what model that is 'cause I don't have all of the glock models memorized.

I carry the 23.

ETA I looked it up.  G 27

Yes, you can open carry in Arizona but why do it? For me I am not looking for trouble, I dont have back-up if a bunch of "bad guys" try and jump on me and take my weapon.

I have a concealed permit and find that it is much less.......harrassing.

Even a scrawny clown such as myself could conceal a full size 1911 under a t-shirt given the right holster (for me it is the Alessi PCH that I just got today).  So get the pistol that shoots best and figure out how to hide it.

That said, no one will see your gun.  I open carry every now and again, and no one notices except cops and convenience store clerks.  Putting a t-shirt over a gun will stop 99 percent of people from seeing it.  If you have a permit, you are GTG.

Being an AZ boy. I concur.  I have a G27, but sometimes, and I know this is off your topic, I carry a J-frame Smith in the cargo pocket of my shorts.  YMMV

I SO wish GLOCK would make a single stack compact 9mm.

I voted for the Glock 36 since it's thinner than the others being a single stack. It's small, concealable, feels good in the hand and still packs a punch with 7rds of 45acp.

Same reason I voted for the G36.  If ammo commonality is an issue, go with the G26.

And a G19 sized .45 ACP

I have to second Mr. Burton and ASU1911.  Pick the gun first and then work to conceal it, any of your choices would work well.

Just as a little update I decided to try a different holster on my Glock 19. I was using a SHADOW holster by BIANCHI. It didnt conceal very well especially with the +2 mag extensions.

For a second, I almost thought about selling my Glock for a Kahr 9mm but could do that. So walking around the gun show today I found a COMP-TAC IWB SHIRT TUCKER HOLSTER.

WOW!!! What a difference, this holster is super thin being made of Kydex and also it forces the butt of the gun into my side making it ULTRA concealable!!!!!

I am extremely HAPPY! with this product, I would defenitely recommend it...although you probably wont be able to get a deal as good as mine. I got a LIKE NEW holster and the magazine pouch for $40 cash!

I am throw some pictures up in a little while!

The right holster will easily conceal a G19. I carried a full-size 1911 for 3 years and it concealed easily under a t-shirt. It's all about the holster. I just bought a Maverick Tuckaway holster from Dillons today for $13.95. Carried IWB appendix style, it conceals my G19 under the tightest t-shirt. It drops the butt of the gun way down to it doesn't poke out. Take look at them if you are close to Scottsdale. For $14, you can't beat them.

I might check them out on Monday. I work in Scottsdale so it shouldnt be that far of a drive...maybe after work or on my lunch break.

Here are the pics.

P.S. It might help if I lost some weight to conceal this handgun too.

Looks like a great holster. I have owned the Comp-Tac Ghurkas for almost every gun I have carried. It's very similar except has another attachment point in front of the holster.

+1 - if you are merely going for "utilitarian" purposes, get the same caliber - I voted for the 33 though just to be a PITA.

I voted 33 cause I actually got one

stopping ability between 33 and 27 is negligible, so I went with the one thats should feed the best.  I didnt think  gaining 1 more 9mm in the 26 was worth losing either the larger bullet of the .40 or 200+ fps from the 357.  I also figured the 357 would help get the most out of the short barreled glocks anyway.

I voted 26 for ammo commonality.

I think you found a better answer though with the holster.  Comp-Tac makes great holsters.  I've been using the Guhrka and CTAC for the last 3 or 4 years.  They allow me to carry a fullsize 1911 or a Glock 20 under a t-shirt.  The holster can make all the difference.
