True, but income is not the only thing that dictates how much money a person is willing to spend for a carry piece. While I can justify 5 or 6 hundred for a decent pistol, another person may only be able to justify 2 or 3 hundred, while another person an easily shell out 2 or 3 thousand for a weapon.
I consider $400.00 to be the starting point when it comes to buying a carry piece. The pistol is a up-or-down price choice from there. I've been a fan of Bill Laughridge's work for more than a decade, however, I cannot justify 2 thousand or more for a "tool". Can I afford it? Yes, I can spend the money for the pistol - can I justify it? No. With the exception of a couple of 'safe guns' for collection purposes only, the handgun(s) I choose to carry are only the ones I have faith in.
