A friend was selling his LNI (non-original box).  He wanted $500 for the pistol including 4 factory mags.  (This one has the big bulky adjustable rear sight)  I offered him $375 and 2 CMC 1911 mags.  Then I offered him $350 and 4 CMC 1911 mags and a Wilson 1911 magwell.  Then I offered him $350 and 5 CMC 1911 mags and a Wilson magwell.  Deal!

Then we went to his house and I showed him my newly aquired AR-15.  It's a factory Bushmaster lower and a JT Distributing 16" upper with a JP spring kit.  He had a LNIB Kimber Compact Stainless Aluminum Series I that I had my eye on.

When I finally left I had given him my AR (no mags) 5 CMC 1911 mags, Wilson magwell, a trigger job on his G21 and $150 for the 1006, 4 mags, 3 boxes of Hydra Shocks, Kimber Compact Series I and 2 Colt mags.

Did I get beat up too much?

Sounds close, without getting out the calculator.
Amongst good friends, lopsided deals should even out through the years.
To me, it's not just a dollar thing...is it what I want to own and am I happy with the trade? And is my friend happy?
Now lets go shootin'!
