I'm kinda in a pickle.  Don't know whether to acquire another handgun or spend the money on ammo. I have about 1K in 7.62, 700rds in 223, 500rds in 9mm, 350rds in 45acp, and 250rds in 38special.

Here's a list of what I have:

#1 Para-Ordnance Tac Four 45acp
#2 Para-Ordnance P12 45acp
#3 Springfield XD 45acp
#4 Sig 226 9mm
#5 Sig 220 45acp
#6 Taurus Millenium 9mm
#7 Charter Arms Off Duty 38special snub nose
#8 Mossberg 500 Persuader 12gauge
#9 Bushmaster A2M4 223/5.56
#10 WASR-10 hi-cap 7.62

I'm looking at several handguns.  They are:

A.  Beretta 92D (full size or centurion) w/Trijicon nite sites.  $309
B.  Glock 17 $375
C.  Smith&Wesson 9 Tactical 5946TWS $335
D.  Smith&Wesson 3953 9mm $319
E.  CZ-75 9mm $300
F.  Taurus 24/7 9mm $340
G.  Rock Island Armory 1911  $315

These prices include shipping and transfer fees too.

Basically, do I get another gun or stock up on ammo?  I don't really shoot too much due to time constraints.  And when I do go shoot, i might go through 200rds or so.  Thanks in advance.

Ammo...or save up and get a higher quality pistol, or rifle as you already have quite a few pistols

Considering what you already have I would get ammo. Trade some of the pistols around if you want something new.

I traded off my lower end stuff and picked up the XD 45acp, Sig 226, and Sig 220.  Maybe I will get a chance to shoot them this weekend.  I am starting to lean more toward ammo now.

I vote ammo but a nice CZ75 wouldn't be bad either.

I vote Glock 17.  You are missing out in life with out at least one Glock and one 1911.  They are 2 of the most enjoyed specimens. IMO

You have all the basics covered for the most part. I'd grab some more ammo and practice more with what you have.

Training.  You can always do with a refresher.

A reloading setup. Make your own ammo.

Frankly, I don't find any of your pistol choices that impressive. This statement is by no means intended as an insult, but as advice. You have quite a few pistols as it is, and none of those choices are substantially better than some of those you have, so you won't really satisfy the bug if you buy one of those. I suggest you get some more .45 and send half of it downrange

Hmmm.  Never considered that.  After the initial set-up, how much would it cost to reload 9mm and 45acp?  Right now, I can get 100rds of CCI Blazer in the 9mm for $10.

I see what you are saying.  I will either buy ammo in bulk or look into a reloading setup.  Thanks for all the input guys!

I got started on 9mm and .45 for less than $150 for a single stage. I figure at 100 rounds a week, I've saved about $300 over what I would have purchased in the past year (.45 WWB). 9mm is harder to save with, since I can load it for 5-7 bucks a hundred, or buy it for about 10.

Edit: It costs me about $7-9 per hundred for 45s.

Not a pistol, but how about a Kel-Tec Sub2000 carbine that will use your Sig P226 mags? You can buy them new for $289.

I love my GLOCK mag carbine.

Dude, you are so wrong for putting evil thoughts in my head!  Where can I get them for that price?  Didn't know they take Sig P226 mags either.  BTW, let me know how that Kahr works out for you when you get it.  Had an early model K9.  It was a good gun, but a bitch to break down to clean.

I owed you one. One of the local shops just got in two last week, but they are both GLOCK mag models. Any dealer should be able to order one for you from a distributor. The MSRP is $383, but delaer cost is only about $230. They are available in 9mm and .40, with GLOCK, Sig, Beretta, or S&W mags.

I should have the Kahr in about a week. I can't wait to try it out.
