What is the price difference between .357 magnum and .38 special ammo. I just bought a rossi .357 snubbie and cant find the prices from anywhere id buy it.

From Ammoman: (Just as an example)

For FMJ 'range' ammo:

38 SPECIAL FEDERAL 130GR. (BALL) FULL METAL JACKET: $179-1000 rounds.

FIOCCHI 357 MAGNUM 142 GR. FULL METAL JACKET: $219-1000 rounds.

If you go with lead bullets, it's quite a bit less expensive, but I wanted to compare two broadly similar cartridges.

.38spl can be had for as little as $6 per box of 50rds. .357mag will usually run just a bit under $10 per box of 50rds. Both of these are gun show prices with factory (not reloaded!) ammo.
