Ok. I'm looking at yet another gun. Picked up a SigPro SP2009 9mm and ordered a Sig P220 w/night sights a few days ago.  Need to spend the last bit of my slush fund and have 3 guns to choose from.  All are pretty much the same price.  Which ones would you pick?

#1 Glock 19 2nd Generation  Price:  $400

#2 Sig P239 9mm  Price:  $425

#3 Beretta 9000S 9mm  Price:  $375

All are pretty much the same price and condition.  #3 has a little more accessories (mags, holster) than #2, and lastly #1.  The main function of this new acquisition would be range work and/or CCW.  Not too concerened about CCW, since I have a Para-Ordnance P12, Taurus PT-111, and Charter Arms 38specian snub nose for CCW.  Thanks for your help.

ETA:  #4  CZ 75  Price:  $300 (I hope)

ETA2:  #5 CDDN Sig 226  Price:  $350

#6  Beretta 92-S  Like new condition.  Price:  $375

A local pawn shop I frequent has a CZ 75 in 97% condition, the bore is in excellent condition, with box, manual, and 2 10rd mags.  He's asking $325 + tax.  That gun has been sitting there for at least 5 months.  I think he would take $300 cash out the door for it.

ETA3:  #7  Sig P226 w/night sights. 5 factory 15rd mags 1 box federal 9mm 115 +P+ $425

            #8  Beretta 92FS w/night sights. 5 factory 15rd mags 1 box federal 9mm 115 +P+ $425

ETA4:  I'm going with #7.  Will pick her up Sunday afternoon at work.  Can't wait!

I like the Sig 239 looks but the round cap is alot less then the G19.

But is the gun smaller maybe?

I'd go with the Sig, but thats just me. You can always find good deals on G19s IMO.

But since you have two sigs already maybe the G19 would be a better choice.

I wouldnt get the Berreta, alot of people claim they are crappy, I personally dont know but if so many people dont like them...

+1

if it were up to me all over again, i would trade that SigPro for the P239 and get the Glock...

From your list, I would go with the Glock 19

My personal opinion is:
Sig 228/229  9mm
Glock 19/17/26 (depending on if you use it for  CCW or range) I prefer 3rd gen
HK USP compact  (about same size as G19  USP-f = fullsize
Beretta 92FS or 92compact
Springfield XD-9  Fullsize or Compact

I can't believe I'm the first one to say this...

Get all three.

The GLOCK 19 is my favorite handgun and has been my daily carry weapon for several years, so that is what I would advise.

Beyond that, the P239 and 9000S have the worst ergonomics of any pistol offered by Sig and Beretta. Normally, Beretta and Sig are my 2nd and 3rd favorite pistol brands, but both of those designs are terrible, IMO. Try holding each of the three choices in your hands and see for yourself. Good luck finding the P239 or 9000S as I very rarely see them in shops, which says something about their popularity.

Option number 2 - cause then you will have 3 sigs, instead of just two

The 9000S' can't be given away at the local gun shows. The P-239 doesn't really bring much to the table, IMO, for what it costs. Glocks are run-of-the-mill common.

Personally, I would keep shopping. Maybe a USP, maybe a mil-surp piece, like a Luger?

#1 Glock 19 2nd Generation

G19

Reliable/rugged
Easy to modify/enhance/strip/etc
Mags are plentiful and relatively inexpensive

That said, I like my USP compact and Sig 226 a lot.  For me the Sig is my most accurate 9mm....why I have no idea.

If you want something in that size/price range, get the Beretta PX4.  It's a better pistol all around than the 9000s, and is in high demand.  They can be had for ~$500.  Pick your flavor either 9mm or fo-tay

Thanks for all the responses.  I'm half tempted to wait for a "better" deal.  Or go with a CDNN Sig 226, or a 228 if they have one in stock.  Or even a G19 if they have one in stock.  Don't come across a Sig P239 too often and I think $425 is a pretty good price for one in 97% condition.

Didn't know the ergonomics of the 9000S isn't all that either.  I just thought it would be kinda neat to have a gun that was used in the movie "Minority Report".  As for the CZ 75, got to handle it earlier today.  Liked the way it fit in my hands.  The trigger wasn't too bad either.

If you like the way a CZ75 feels in the hand, you ought to check out the CZ P-01. It's about the size of a G19 and the grip is very similar to the full-size CZ75.

cant go wrong with a  titanium .357 from a board member

CZ 75 will outlast all other handguns, well perhaps the Glock may able to last as long...

CZ 75 B would be a nice addition.

Of your choices I'd go with the Glock 19 or the CZ.  But dont count out the P226 from CDNN, they are great pistols.

Looks like #1 and #2 are out of the picture.  #1 is sold and the seller is flaking out on #2.  I think #6 has potential, since they dont make that style 92 anymore.  Plus, it would give me an excuse to own a Beretta 92.  Never fired or held one.  But it has always been in the back of my mind thanks to the Lethal Weapon movies.

You can get used G19s everywhere for $400 if you still want one.

Yes, I know.  The G19 is a great gun, but after carrying a G22 for 10 years on the job, guess I'm all "Glocked" out.  Kinda want something other than a Glock.

Tell me about it ALPHAGHOST!  Mags would be cheaper for #6.  #4 I could pick up today, but mags would cost more.  #5 is a great deal too, and mags are pricey though.  Decisions, decisions!

Beretta 92FS with night sights.  Can't be beat!

I still say look into the PX4 if you want a small carry gun!

#7 is a pretty good deal.  My Sig 226 functions flawlessly and is my most accurate 9mm.  I may go down the CZ 75 rounte next.  I shot my buddies and the ergonomics are awesome.
