I have a 220 which is similar to the 226 and 229. It is VERY simple.

Theres a manual to help explain it.

Very easy. Flip lever, remove slide, pull out guide rod, pull out barrel.

FS a 1911 is a tad more complicated and has more parts....

LOL! I remember a few years ago someone started a thread because he could't figure out how to get the barrel out of his 1911.

Of those mentioned, all are fairly simple, you just have to do it a couple of times.  However, the 1911 may take a few extra seconds compared to a Glock or a Beretta.

Compared to a Glock, the 1911 is a little more time consuming.  Not necessarily complicated.  The only thing I dislike about my SA is that you need a Allen Wrench to disassemble it.  I hate my Kimber Eclipse because it requires the lame arse pin.  I can have my Glock disassembled in like 5secs.  My 1911 may take me 20.  Still fun either way.

--when i tried to disassemble my first 1911, it took me a second go around to figure out the stupid bbl bushing

i actually got a wrench--all i had to do was push down and turn while the slide was still on the frame

I fail to see the humor in this...It took me about a minute to figure it out too.

Also, I remember I took out the sear pin and thought I broke the damn thing when all these "parts" came out.
