How are Pro-mags? Good? Bad? Run away?

Im wanting some 220 mags and the Sig factory mags a little pricey.

Any help whould be appreciated. If there is a good place to purchase mags please post.

Thanks and I have searched the EE.

Stay with the SIG factory mags. Pro Mags are a crap shoot, IMHO. Charles the Gunsmith.

Generally, if you're shooting a Sig, stay with Sig (or original equipment manufatcurer, I think Mecgar does Sig) mags.  after market mags are cheaper, but they can be a crap shoot in terms of reliability.

There are exceptions, but this rule has helped to keep my guns reliable over a lot of years.  I learned it the hard way, buying cheap mags and getting very frustrated when my gun didn't work.

the magazine is the weakest link in every semi-auto system.  Don't compromise it with junk mags.

Here's another idea for you, ACT/Novak.  I think they're the best thing going right now.  Check out Cope's Distributing.  $18 each last time I checked for 8 round nickel or blue steel.  They run great.  Never had a problem with them.  MJD

ETA:  looks like they're up to 19.99 each.  MJD

Most of the time, they hold ammunition well, so if you have a bunch of loose rounds you need to store, Promags work well, but plastic boxes are cheaper.

I don't gamble with my life, so I use factory mags and make sure I run Many SD rounds through them..
