I have the 4" barrel 686 S&W. If I remember correctly I paid about 450$ new. It has been quite awhile so I might be off by a little. Edited to add that it is the "plus" 7 shot model

the 6" here is going for around 450-480 around here.

i did this in GD to show something but it got moved.
S&W retails that weapon for $690 dollars. I can get it 2/7ths off sticker. M&P 15=$1200 M&P 15 should be about $858 bucks. a good deal. |

i think you are wrong.
a 686 is pretty much mass produced and they are a dime a dozen at any shop. The AR they are building is not. it would be more comparable to something out of the performance shop. case in point the RRA gov whatever it is that comes with the surefire is damn close to msrp at every shop i have seen. you are comparing apples to rocks. |
