Okay...Rip it apart fellas.....lets see the battle of "IMHO" on this one.

UPDATE!

Well...I went to go buy a Glock 23 but saw this halfway to the Glock counter.  I have always shot glocks...infact I've been shooting them since I was 16 years old. I've never liked the 1911's due to the weight factor but this one was too pretty to pass up.

Colt Commander Lightweight SS 45 auto.

Same here.

If I were forced to pick a compact for carry, it would, without a doubt, be a Glock.

5" 1911 everyday. I see no reason to carry a 3" 1911.

4" 1911 with full size frame.  I had four compact 1911's (three Kimbers & one SA) and sold them for 4" & 5".  I now like the full size frame better.

Other.. Sig P239. Accurate, reliable, small enough to carry, easy and comfortable to shoot.
Works well in a Milt Sparks VM2 and Milt Sparks belt. I also find it more comfortable to shoot with the Hogue finger grove grips.

Springfield Lightweight Compact 4". It's smaller and much lighter than the service model or the Champion. It's the perfect blend of power and concealability. IMHO

GLOCK 19. 15+1 9mm in 147gr JHP will get the job done.

Also, carry a GLOCK 26 in an ankle holster as back-up just in case. You only get one chance at life.

All your choices are TOO SMALL!

3"/4" isn't a 1911.  It's ghey!

Since when did a pistol have to be mid-size or compact to carry IWB? I'm 5'9"/ 160lbs. and carry a USP40 Full Size daily.

I carry a 1911A1 full size strong side IWB.  It fits nicely and the butt is a reassuring presence against my right love handle.

I like the lightweight Commander but my vote goes for the Colt CCO (Commander slide on a lightweight Officer frame.  After packing one for a good number of years, it is the high point of 1911 carry.  While the CCO does not give up much weight on the lightweight Commander the shorter grip hides under a shirt so much easier.

I'd go with the full size model of any of them. IWB takes care of any length problems with concealment. It usually helps as the extra length bears against the hip and pushes the butt of the gun into the body.

Of your choices I would go 4" 1911, the Colt I shot (similar to Msokol's) was sweet.

Second I might say Glock 19  Everytime I shoot one I have a bit more respect for it, it seems to me that it is "the" Glock.  Feels more natural than that horrible 17.

Based on your choices it would be a Glock 19, but a 5" 1911 would really pick my first pick.
