I've come into a little unexpected cash and it has triggered a gun itch.  It's a new year and I haven't bought a gun yet!  I'm looking at either a 9mm or 45acp.  There's a gun show coming to town this weekend too.  Don't know if I want to check it out.  I was pretty disappointed with the last show they had.

All of the firearms listed below are available from CDNN.  Have a local dealer that will do the transfer for $20.

#1 Walther P99 DAO (9mm).  1 10rd mag, 4 front sights, 3 grip backstraps. $299.99

#2 Steyr M-9 9mm Fullsize. 1 14rd & 3 10rd mags.  $299.99

#3 CZ TT45P (45acp) with Tactical Rail. 1 10rd mag. Ported slide. Non-ported barrel.  $299.99

#4 Sig 220 (45acp) with Night Sights and Accessory Rail. 1 7rd mag. $479.99

#5 Sig 226 (9mm). Blue finish. 1 15rd mag. Decocker. $349.99

#6 Sig 226 (9mm). K-Kote or Blue. 1 15rd mag. Decocker. Night sights. $379.99

#7 Taurus 24/7 (9mm). Blue finish. 2 17rd mags. $299.99

I am trying to stay away from Glocks.  I would consider one if I came across a sweet package deal on a G19 or G26.  Which ones would you choose?  Or something else in the above price ranges?  Thanks in advance.

Out of those I would choose the CZ, because I already have a Sig 226.

Gun shows seem to be the best on opening morning of the first day.

#5 or #6 Man, that is a great price on a Sig. Anyone ever get one from CDNN before? Are they in good condition?

P.S. didn't mean to hijack

I've heard folks saying they were pleased with theirs from CDNN.  For extra $20, you can request hand select.  The sigs are described as very good to excellent condition.  No offense taken.  Never owned a Sig.  Figured this might be a good place to start.  I don't think I can find these prices at the gunshow this weekend also.

Thanks for the info. At that price I don't think you could go wrong. I am guessing there would be a little bit of holster wear but I could live with that.

#3 CZ TT45P (45acp) with Tactical Rail. 1 10rd mag. Ported slide. Non-ported barrel.  $299.99Discontinued and parts and mags will not be available, also did no review well.  It is not the Czeska Zbrojovka we all love either.

#4 Sig 220 (45acp) with Night Sights and Accessory Rail. 1 7rd mag. $479.99Single stack 45 get a 1911

#5 Sig 226 (9mm). Blue finish. 1 15rd mag. Decocker. $349.99I'd go Kera-Kote

#6 Sig 226 (9mm). K-Kote or Blue. 1 15rd mag. Decocker. Night sights. $379.99Thats it

#7 Taurus 24/7 (9mm). Blue finish. 2 17rd mags. $299.99Not badly reviewed but I used to own two of thier revolvers both broke, poor metal quality

I just T&Ed a new Springfield XD45ACP. Frankly, if I didn't have such large hands I would buy one. It' s one of the most carryable .45s I've held. Holds 13+1 and takes no more room on your side than the 4 inch XD40. I'm sticking with my Glocks, but I really like this gun. But again, my hands are so damn big I'd have to totally change my grip and I don't want to do that.

Mattl,

Thanks for your input.  Got me deciding between the Sig 226 K-Kote w/night sites and Sig 220.

az_larry,

Didn't know the XD came in 45ACP now.  I might need to handle one now. How much do they normally go for?  I already have 2 hi-cap 45's (Para-Ord Tac Four and P12). One more couldn't hurt.

For me, the nod would go to one of the SIGs.  I am no fan of DAO guns like the Walther but that wouldn't be a bad choice either.

The best Glocks made, in my opinion, are the 9mm ones.  I wouldn't turn away a 10mm one either, but the rest of their line I have owned and didn't care for.

I cant beleive you put Taurus and Sig on the same list. Ive owned lots of guns including 1911s ,all I have now is Glocks but out of all the guns Ive sold the only one I would buy again is the Sig p220

Price was one of the main factors for my list.  Second being caliber.

pick one of the sigs.  either the 220 or the 226 k-kote.  and you can get factory 8rd flush fit mags for the 220 and 10rd mags that stick out a bit.

Go for the Sig 226, but skip the night sights since the tritium is probably mostly decayed.  Another fun 9mm to consider is one of the cheap Walther P1's.  Not much of a serious defensive gun, but for $200 they are fun at the range.

Definately either the P226 or P220.  Both are built extremely tough.  I'd say P220 as Sigs are somewhat too big of a gun to be in the 9mm flavor...

I was myself tempted to get the CDNN P220 once but I controlled my impulse buying mind then...now I must open my CDNN catalogue and drool over the Sigs again

The XD is on the way back. Not sure what happend but I think the striker broke. Not good for less than 200 rounds. Looks like they may have some bugs, at least mine did.

I'd probably jump on the Sig P226 or P220, but that's me.

Sig's are the only real choices on your list,... I'd go 220, sweetest .45 this side of a nice 1911 and 1/3 the price,.  Id consider the 226 if you'd be sure your getting and older stamped 9mm. Dont sweat the K-kote, Sigs look better with a little slide wear................Udog

Edited for speelin

I just got a Walther P990 from CDNN, its a great gun and for the price it's a steal... CDNN is a pleasure to work with (talk to Jerry, he seems to be the only nice one there)  I think you might be taking a chance with the police trade-ins, I've heard and seen mixed things.  The Walther puts a big dumb grin on my face whenever I finger screw it or shoot it, but you can't go wrong with a Sig, carry wear or not.  Keep in mind with a police trade in you won't be getting a new gun, so don't be disappointed if the bluing isn't  perfect when you pick it up...

They only have mags and accesories on the website, but look at the PDF catalog, or request a catalog in the mail, and you will see that they sell lots of guns.
