BUY WILSON MAGS ONLY! I have spent a ton of money on 1911 mags, including Chip Mccorminc Power Mags, none of them come close to the reliability of the wilsons. if you are looking for Range Mags they are fine, but I wouldnt trust my life to them. The wilsons cost more, but they are worth it. just my .02 Lost |

I use Chip McCormick power 10s for competition and range use as I'm dropping them on the ground and they work great.
However for carry use I use Wilson 8 rounders, just because. |

I have four 8 rounders. Never had a problem.

My 8 round Power Mags are as reliable as my Wilsons. Try one in your gun and see what you think.

I used to shoot Ipsc, which includes a lot of speedloading and a certain amount of throwing ,dropping,and general misuse of mags. Early on someone gave me some 10round shooting star mags. Never looked at anything else they worked fine for me !! PS some of my friends swear by Wilson,no personal experience on my part. |

I have the shooting stars and power 10 and they havn't gave me any trouble.

I have some of the 8 rd stainless tactical Chip McCormick mags and have never had any problems with them. Nice mags.

I use the 8rd Shooting Star. No problems here. But do be careful, I have another that was sold as a Shooting Star. But, as I was being ignorant and didnt look for the stamp, I later found out it was just a reworked SA 8rd., Gives problems when ejecting mag after last shot. GETS STUCK!
