The para ordinance hammer (regular P series, not limited) is the exact hammer that I want on my Springfield 1911.

Question is, would this hammer fit on directly to the springfield or no?

I emailed para ordinance, and a very nice lady replied that if I replaced the hammer, I should replace the sear with a para ordinance sear.

Would a wilson sear work, or does para ordinace make an "upgraded" sear that would work?

I figure that with a S&A beavertail grip safety, and my 1911 will be done.

Thanks,
Scott

Marksman14,
When ever you try to swap out a pre-fit hammer there is a chance it may work with exsisting sear, but chances are you would end up with improper engagement, I would plan on installing a Wilson A-2 sear.
