OK folks, I have determined I need serious help.
Took my new Springer 1911 out today for a cherry popper, and while it prints great groups, I can't get the damn things centered. I'm right handed, and at 15 yards and aiming for the bullseye, I'm about 2-4 inches low and them same to the left side. I let someone else shoot it, and he shot low as well, but dead center.
My question, how could I be pushing my groups? I made a conscious effort to not tighten my fingers, nearly limp-wristing the gun. The trigger break surprised me like it should, with no flinching. I'm using the pad of my finger, the inside portion, closer to the knuckle than the fingertip. I believe my form is good, but something ain't right. I'm going to work on it more tomorrow, but I'll take any suggestions you have.
BTW, I shoot the exact same way with my Sig 220ST, low and left, in tight little groups.
