Hey all,
I'm planning on getting a Wilderness "Instructor" belt to use for three gun and possibly IDPA matches.  The fellas at Comp-Tac and others have hands down recommended the Wilderness belt.  Now, which width is the best way to go?  The 1.5" or the 1.75"?  Will the 1.75" fit jeans belt loops?

Thanks
Rich

Yes, it will fit Levis. Not sure about other brands.

It won't fit Carhartts.

So are y'all saying that you prefer the 1.75", or is the 1.5" the "choice"?  I'm trying to figure out what belt width to get before I place my order with comp-tac.

Thanks

Rich

1.5 is the standard for concealed carry.  If fits the vast majority of pants and the vast majority of holsters.  Either from wilderness should be plenty rigid to support a holster.

The wider the better, in my experience.
If you are carrying a full size pistol and a couple mags, for several hours at a time, wide is good.
I CCW, and a thinner belt can make the load feel heavier.

Have 'em both and the 1 3/4" is more comfy. It supports and distributes  the weight better.

Mines a 1.5, I think the difference is minimal, it really depend on the size of the cut in your holster that your belt goes through, I order my holsters for a 1.5 belt.

Am I the only one with 1 1/4"?

My old JC Penny brand 1 1/4 is finally dead. Not to mention for me it didn't hold well anyway. I just ordered a Milt Sparks 1.5" from Lightning Arms and can't wait to get it.

No, I have a 1 1/4" from Milt Sparks - it should fit any pair of pants at all.

I'll probably go with the 1.5".  I have a "regular" belt that's just a hair over 1.5" and it barely fits some of my beltloops.  Now, is there an industry partner here that carries the wilderness belt?  I'd prefer to support an ARFCOM supporter.

I'd try Lightfighter. I know they carry the instructos belt.

Alternatively. Lightning Arms carries them but i d not believe they are an industry partner.
