Is the slide on these stamped or forged and machined ?

They are a great pistol either way,
Just want to know.

I think the earlier ones(west germany) were stamped, and the later and current ones are machined.  Maybe.....I think I read that somewhere.

yup, early stamped, now they're all machined stainless steel... regardless of finish.
